Graduate Coursework

Course & Program Information

The Graduate School offers coursework in the traditional arts and sciences and in engineering.  (PLEASE NOTE: Professional preparation is offered through the Fuqua School of Business, the Law School, the Medical School, the School of Nursing, the Divinity School, and the Nicholas School of the Environment.  To take courses in one of these schools you will need to contact the particular school directly.) Graduate Certificate Programs
Individuals who have already earned the bachelor’s degree may, with the permission of the certificate director, enroll in appropriate courses and earn one of the fifteen or so certificates that are a part of the Graduate School curriculum.  These certificates are in areas such as Health Policy, African and African-American Studies, East Asian Studies, Immunology, Microbiology, Political Economy, and Toxicology.  Additional information about these areas of academic concentration may also be found in the Graduate School Bulletin, or on the web at http://registrar.duke.edu/bulletins/Graduate/.
