Scholarships

Financial assistance is available in particular regions. We appreciate the continued support of local community foundations for making these scholarship opportunities available.

For residents of Western North Carolina
WNC Nonprofit Pathways values the important role the Duke Nonprofit Management Program plays in increasing the capacity of nonprofit organizations in the area. As an incentive to participate, WNC Nonprofit Pathways is pleased to offer course fee assistance (half the course fee will be covered). Limit one scholarship per person each term, please - in order to spread the benefit among more people. This offer applies to residents of 18 counties of Western North Carolina who work with a local nonprofit organization, for courses taken within the WNC region. Please check the Index by region to determine if a course is in the western region. Please note: In order to access this assistance, you must request it when you contact Duke to register. Using the registration form, note Discount Code WNC100S08 and pay half of the course fee, rounding up to the nearest dollar. The funds are limited to the first 100 participants; please register early to insure you receive the financial assistance, and call Sara Hassell, (919) 668-6742, with any questions about whether or not assistance is still available.

For residents of Polk County and Landrum, SC
Polk County Community Foundation (PCCF) recognizes the important role the Duke Nonprofit Management Program plays in increasing the capacity of nonprofit organizations. To support our local nonprofit organizations, PCCF is pleased to provide grants for half of the tuition for certain participants who would like that help. To qualify for this course fee assistance, you must be a resident of Polk County, NC or Landrum SC, you must work for a nonprofit or government organization served by PCCF, and the course must be offered in Polk County. Please contact PCCF at (828) 859-5314 for information about receiving a half tuition grant. Individuals who take advantage of this grant are not eligible for financial assistance from the WNC Partners for Nonprofit Success.

For residents of Guilford County
Financial assistance is available in Guilford County for those seeking nonprofit education in the Duke Nonprofit Management Program, thanks to the support of the Cemela Foundation. For classes offered in Guilford County, the Foundation has generously offered to provide assistance to Guilford County residents needing assistance. If you can afford to pay the full fee, please do so. If you cannot, please pay one half of this fee, rounding up to the nearest dollar. Please indicate on your registration form that you have utilized this funding.
