Requirements

Admission Criteria
In order to enroll in the online program, students must hold a high school diploma or an advanced degree. In addition, participants must have both word processing and internet skills as well as access to a computer for their studies.

Earning the Certificate
The online program is designed to ensure your success. Students will have to demonstrate a mastery of each level of material before gaining access to the next level. Mastery is documented through success on the online exams given for each section. In addition, students in the online program will be assigned their own instructor with whom they communicate regularly and who is available to answer questions and help with any programs the student might encounter. The Instructor will track a student's progress through the program, grade any work that must be submitted and give final approval over completion of the program. Students who successfully complete the program will earn the Duke Certificate with approval from their instructor.

Length of Program
Most students complete the program in 4 to 6 months. Students must complete the program in less than 12 months.
