Chris Benz is a communication jack-of-all-trades. In his nearly twenty years in technical and business communication, Chris has served as a desktop publisher, a curriculum developer, a writer, an editor, an author, a consultant, a project/program manager, a documentation department manager, an operations director, and a business owner. He has written a variety of books on computer topics, and has received several awards for his work, including Best of Show at the Society for Technical Communication (STC) International Technical Publication Competition. Chris is an STC Associate Fellow, has served on the international STC Board of Directors, and is a past president of the Carolina Chapter of the STC.
Susan Dakin has a PhD in zoology from Duke University (1978). She is an independent consultant in scientific and technical writing and editing, with nearly twenty-five years of experience working with research scientists in academia, government, and corporate settings.
Gregory Eller is a software engineer and information developer for Lenovo (formerly IBM). He has degrees in journalism and in theater, and has been writing professionally for nearly twenty years as a journalist, financial writer, and technical writer. He has experience working as both a contractor and a full-time employee, remotely and out of an office.
Ann-Marie Grissino is president of Keypoint Consultants, Inc., an award-winning technical writing firm specializing in user documentation, e-learning, and online communication. Ann-Marie has won several awards for documentation design and writing and for e-learning authorship, and she has written articles for the journals of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and of e-learning developers. She is currently the manager of the regional STC Online Technical Communications Competition, and has served as a judge for both international STC Online Communication Competitions and Brandon Hall e-learning and innovative technology competitions. Ann-Marie has also participated in the Technical Communication Delegation for the People to People Ambassador Program to China.
Larry Kunz is project manager and writer for Systems Documentation, Inc. (SDI). In 28 years as a writer, manager, and planner, he has managed projects in both technical and marketing writing. He holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington University. He is a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication and is active in its local chapter.
Linda Enders Robert is a technical writer for SAS Institute. She holds an M.S. in Technical Communication and an Ed.D. in Adult Education from North Carolina State University. In her fifteen-year career, Linda has served as a writer, manager, and project manager.
Jim Sheedy, currently with SAS Institute, has been writing software documents for 20 years. He also teaches procedure writing, web writing, and business writing.
