Admission Criteria

Admission to this program is limited. Students must be fluent in English (including reading and writing), computer literate, and have access to a computer with a valid email account. Experience in a “treasury/finance” related capacity is highly recommended, as this program is a preparation program for the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) exam.

Completion Requirements

Requirements for the Duke Certificate in Treasury Management
An in-class test will account for 30% of the final grade and an online test will account for 70% of the final grade. Participants who score 70 or better for the course and attend at least 70% of the classroom hours will receive a Certificate in Treasury Management from Duke University.

Requirements to Become a Certified Treasury Professional ® (CTP)
The Duke Treasury Management Certificate program is a preparatory program for the Certified Treasury Professional Certification Exam. Completion of this certificate program, while excellent preparation for the exam, does not guarantee success on the certification exam itself. Students should be prepared to study outside the classroom. Please note that there is a difference between a certificate and certification. Upon successful completion of the program a Certificate in Treasury Management will be awarded from Duke University.

Certification is a standardized process and to pursue certification as a CTP® there are specific requirements that must be meet as outlined by the Association of Financial Professionals. These requirements including passing an exam and work experience. To review the certification requirements and to register for the exam please visit the AFP website at http://www.afponline.org/pub/cert/ctp.html.
