Membership, Registration & Fees

Memberships in OLLI at Duke are paid on an annual basis, based on the academic year that runs from September to June.  After payment of annual dues ($35), you may register for classes.  You will also be able to join activities, participate in social events, and receive the newsletter even if you are not taking classes in a given semester.  All current members may also vote for the election of officers at the annual meeting in the spring. 

In addition to membership fees, there are additional class fees and lab fees attached to specific courses.  Click on the registration form below to determine the fees for the number of courses you plan to take in a given semester.  Click on course descriptions to determine if there are any lab fees.  In addition to these fees paid to Duke University, individual classes may also require students to purchase books, buy materials, or pay materials fees to the instructor. Registration Information

Register before the priority deadline (listed on the registration form) to assure that you will receive a class confirmation packet before classes begin.  Some classes reach maximum enrollments; some students may therefore be placed on a waiting list.  If you are on a waiting list, an OLLI staff member will contact you to discuss your options.  If you would like a refund for a class fee, please call Mary Edwards at 681-3476 before the end of the second week of classes.  Membership fees are not refundable.

Registration Checklist

  1. First you must print out blank copies of the Registration Form and the Membership Form. You may print a copy of the Current Schedule to help with your planning. To display them, click on the previous links; the forms will pop up in a new browser window. Print them out using the button at the top of your browser. Once you have done this, you may close the window by clicking the "Close Window" button at the bottom of the form.
  2. After you have printed out the blank forms, fill them out as instructed. Individual course descriptions contain the ID numbers necessary to fill out the priority list.
  3. If paying by check, mail the registration form, membership form and your check (made payable to Duke University) to:

  1. If paying by credit card, send the registration form with credit card information and membership form to us via fax at 919-681-8235 or mail them to the above address.
