Expressions! Performing Arts Camp
Staff
The instructional staff is comprised of professional educators, published writers, and talented artists. Expressions! has two Academic Directors, Karen Wade and Doug Groves, who coordinate the academic life and advises instructional staff.
Karen Wade is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro, and has been teaching in the public schools and private summer camps for the past twenty years. Having taught a variety of courses from technical theatre and beginning drama to intermediate and advanced acting as well as having directed over 75 plays and musicals, Karen is an actor's director.
The residential staff members are mature, talented, and enthusiastic graduate and undergraduate students, who supervise campers in the residential hall and at other out of class times, such as meals, free times, and special events. The residential counselors also plan and lead a variety of social and recreational activities. A professional educator directly supervises the residential staff and their activities.
