Youth Programs

ONLINE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration will open in December for Summer 2010. Please check back with us again soon!

1. Check to see whether space is available in the camp you're interested in attending by looking at the chart on the Enrollment Update page. If there is, follow the instructions to the registration request form. If you are registering for more than one program or session, please complete a separate form for each registration request.

2. The full payment is due at the time of registration. If you are unable to pay the full amount, please contact the Duke Youth Programs' Office at 919-684-2827 for information about our payment plans. A $300.00 deposit will be required to initiate the payment plan. When submitting a registration request online, payments must be paid by credit card. You will be notified by email when your payment is authorized, but your card will not be charged unless space is available in your requested program. You will receive a separate email message confirming registration. If you have not received this registration notification within four business days, please call us at 919-684-6259. If a program is already at full capacity when we receive your request to register, we will notify you and place you on the waitlist.

Credit card authorization does not guarantee space availability.

3. Account balances must be paid in full by May 17, 2010. If an account has an outstanding balance after May 18, the registration will be canceled and the non-refundable deposit is forfeited. Registration after May 18 requires full payment at the time of registration, which includes a $300 non-refundable deposit.

4. Beginning in early April 2010, registered participants will receive an email from Duke Youth Programs with attachments to print and complete. Please return these required forms by May 17th.

Cancellation, Refund and Change Policies

Cancellation and Refunds

All cancellation requests must be made in writing. If the participant cancels for any reason 30 or more days prior to the first day of the program, Duke Youth Programs will refund all paid tuition less a $300 non-refundable deposit.

Duke Youth Programs reserves the right to cancel or not hold a session or program if the minimum enrollment requirements are not met or for any reason beyond Duke Youth Programs' control. If the minimum enrollment requirements are not met, registrants will be notified one month in advance and receive a full refund of the deposit and paid tuition. For reasons beyond Duke Youth Programs' control, refund decisions will be made based on recommendations from Duke University.

Change Sessions or Programs

Participants who wish to change their registration from one session or program to another may do so only if space is available in the desired program and the request in writing is at least 2 weeks in advance of the program start date. The initial non-refundable deposit will be transferred but participants will incur an additional change processing fee of $50.

Special Needs

Individuals with disabilities or other special needs who anticipate needing reasonable accommodations should contact the Director of Youth Programs at (919) 684-2827 or email: youth@duke.edu at the time of registration.

Written requests for consideration for reasonable accommodation and appropriate paperwork must be received 30 days in advance of the program start date . Each request for reasonable accommodation is reviewed on a case by case basis by the Duke University Office of Services for Students with Disabilities.
