Aerospace Engineering

Do you want to build the next generation of spacecrafts? Does the idea of becoming an astronaut sound thrilling?  Perhaps you simply want to understand the role of space in our global communication and observation systems. Humans will return to the moon over the next decade, and the James Web Space Telescope, EUCLID, and other science platforms are helping us discover the origins of everything. It is an exciting time to explore aerospace engineering!

Discover the basics of space exploration and learn the fundamental physical laws that govern space flight and orbital mechanics. These laws will give you the tools to understand some of the primary parameters underlying the design of space missions and, subsequently, design a space mission of your own! Use computer modeling and build physical prototypes as you go through the engineering design process to discover basic concepts related to rocket stability and performance. Improve the design of a rocket and take the first step on your path to becoming a rocket scientist!
