Teaching Opportunities

Program Overview

The Duke Nonprofit Management Program is designed for adults looking to add skills and gain credentials. The Program offers a structured and rigorous grounding in the establishment, operation, and continuation of a successful nonprofit. Offerings are non-credit classes within the Duke Continuing Studies Department. Instructors are established practitioners, nonprofit subject matter experts, and scholars from a variety of disciplines within the nonprofit sector.

Teaching Opportunities

We welcome resumes from established practitioners, nonprofit subject matter experts, and scholars who have experience teaching adult learners. Current instructors should be proficient teaching interactively on Zoom. Some in-person classes may resume in 2023. Positions are contracted on a per class basis. Although instruction is focused on five nonprofit core areas – Board Development/Governance, Financial Development, Fundraising, Human Resource Development, and Planning & Evaluation – we welcome course proposals on other nonprofit topics. We review resumes and contract with candidates on a continuing basis. For questions, contact mary.sherk@duke.edu, Nonprofit Management Program Coordinator.
